Gunlaug Marø Halseid (26) har tysk fagbrev som "Handzuginstrumentenmacherin". Oversatt til norsk blir trekkspillmaker tittelen som forteller oss at denne jenta - hun har våget å velge annerledes - fordi dette var noe hun hadde lyst til. Siden hun var liten, har hun likt å mekke og reparere ting. Slike egenskaper er viktige når en skal arbeide med så detaljrike, mekaniske konstruksjoner som et trekkspill. 

Etter endt utdannelse ved Musikk instrument akademiet i Moss og praksisperiode og fagprøve i Tyskland, startet hun sitt eget verksted i vår. Hun har allerede fått mye å gjøre, men har kapasitet til enda mer. Nå satser hun på samarbeid med musikkhandlere og trekkspillklubber, og markedsfører seg i riksdekkende fagtidskrifter. Slik håper hun at trekkspillreparasjoner skal kunne bli et trygt levebrød i årene som kommer. 

Så hvis bestefars gamle trekkspill står stuet vekk på loftet med hengende tangenter og lekk belg, stikk innom det nye verkstedet. Eller - kanskje du har et gammelt trøorgel (harmonium) stående.  Det er Gunlaug og kvalifisert til å reparere. Husk at slike instrumenter er vel verdt å ta vare på.

Gunlaug Marø Halseid has established herself as our only local accordion maker. With her own workshop, she plans to make a living of maintaining and repairing accordions and reed organs. To be qualified to do this, she has studied for 5 years, including a practical period in Germany, where she got her craft certificate as a Handzuginstrumentenmacheren".
