Noen har tillatt seg å gjøre
et overgrep og misbruke Indre kai og Smedasundsmiljøet, vår
fremste attraksjon, midt i filmfestivaluken ? Jeg må tilstå
at jeg blir mer og mer forbannet over dette misplasserte tivoliet. Hvordan
kunne noen tillate det?? Nå vet jeg at noen synes dette tivoliet
er både fargerikt og moro, men ikke på denne tomten !
I gamle dager hadde vi tivoli i byen hele
året. Basso het det, og var plassert i gangavstand fra sentrum, på
den tomten hvor det forrige Haugesunds- avisbygget står i dag. La
oss finne en tomt som sirkus og tivoli kan benytte, og gjerne mer sentralt
enn Raglamyr, men ikke voldta vår fremste attraksjon slik som dette.
Det går ikke an!
Jeg bringer avslutningsvis i dag et bilde
som minner oss på hva som skjuler seg bak tivolifasadene, tatt fra
6. etasje i et hus på Indre kai. Så ikke fortvil - det er ikke
borte, det er bare noe som står i veien. På søndag blir
det fjernet.

Rape is unacceptible. Now I feel that
our main attraction, the Inner quay and the Smedasundet area has been raped.
And - this happens just as we have the town full of prominent guests, as
the International film festival has been this weeks main event. But - some
people may feel that this fun fair is fun and quite OK. Thats fair - but
not on this site!
The last picture ( se below ) to is shot
on one of these fun fair days, from the 7. floor of one of the office buildings
on the Inner quay. So this is the proof - it is still here, but only hided
at the moment!
