Jeg kjørte nedom i dag morges, og trafikken var liten. Men på 10 minutter passerte 8 biler meg på vei nordover. Kun en oppdaget skiltene og snudde. Resten, d.v.s. 7 av 8, kjørte som de alltid har gjort. Men - selv om gammel vane er vond å vende, lærer vi det nok til slutt.

Men - nå når de har stengt denne retningen på Indre kai, burde de kanskje samtidig fjernet forbudskiltet som hindrer at vi skal kjøre nordover Strandgaten når vi kommer fra Risøy. Kommer ofte denne veien, men har kunnet legge veien via Indre kai. Nå må vi kjøre byen rundt og krysse Gågaten for å komme oss nordover.

Og så spørsmålet: Er jeg stryk-kandidat på skiltsektoren, eller representerer skiltingen på bildet over en selvmotsigelse. Pil Opp Ned-skiltet tolker jeg slik at nå møter vi toveis trafikk igjen etter overgang fra enveiskjørt. De skulle nok vært snudd motsatt, er mitt forslag.

Just a reminder to those of us driving in Haugesund. From today, July 16, the Inner quay is one way drive - in direction north towards south. This morning 7 out of 8 cars passing northwards oversaw the sign - and went as they were used to. Old habits are difficult to change, but I'm sure that we will get used to it.
