den nye operaen i Bjørvika - og fiskerimuseet på Vea: Dette
er noen av bravardene til arkitektfirmaet Snøhetta. Pent eller ikke.
Det er i hvert fall spesiellt, og sikkert også funksjonelt. Og meningene
er delte. Den pensjonerte fiskeren fra Vea var ute og gikk tur - stoppet
der jeg sto, og spurte, "Har du sett noe så stygt før?" Vi
sto og kikket litt - før han ruslet videre og traff et ungt par.
Mannen i paret hadde stort kamera og lette etter gode vinkler for å
knipse bilder. "Har du sett noe så stygt før" - kom det igjen
fra den gamle mannen som ruslet forbi paret. "Jeg synes det er fint, jeg"
sa den unge, før han satte set på kne og knipset bilder. Kanskje
han er arkitekt?

The new Norwegian main operabuilding in Bjørvika, Oslo - and the
fishery museum at Vea, Karmøy: These are among the works of the
norwegian architect company Snøhetta. Beautiful or not? At least
it is special and seems to be efficient for its purpose. The meanings of
this building are devided. I met an old fisherman passing by. He stopped
and said " Have you ever seen anything as ugly as this?". I was not ready
to answer before he kept on, stopping by a young couple where the man had
a big camera and was searching for good shooting angles for pictures. Distantly
I heard the old man repeat his question to the young man: " Have you ever
seen anything as ugly as this?". But here he got an answer: " I think it
looks nice!" - the young man said before he kept on taking pictures. May
me he was an architect?
