Hadde vi nesten bare hatt soldager og vanntemperaturen var 4-5 grader høyere, kunne Karmøy og Haugalandet konkurrert med både Kanariøyene og Mallorca, og spanjolene ville kommet til oss. For vi har den svalende brisen.

If most days were like this - and with 4-5 C higher water temperature, the spanish tourists would have visited us to feel our cooling breeze.  Now we travel the opposite way.

Ny Skudenesferje
Den nye Skudenesferjen passerte Karmsundet i dag morges, på vei til Boknafjorden. Den skal snart settes inn i det nye sambandet Skudeneshavn - Kvitsøy - Mekjarvik som bare får 4 rundturer pr dag. Som bildet viser, får vi nå en båt som ser ut som en alminnelig ferje på denne strekningen, etter alltid tidligere å ha hatt en som så ut som en "båt". Men den skal være svært stabil og god, og det kan nok trenges på en havstrekning som denne.

The new car and passenger ferry for the Skudenes - Kvitsøy - Mekjarvik connection passed southwards through Karmsundet this morning, on its way to the Boknafjord area.
