| Vår Frelsers Kirke har
gjennomgått enda en periode med oppussing som endel av klargjøringen
til 100-års jubileet i mars neste år.
Mange protesterte når man tidlig
på 70-tallet fjernet den arkitekttegnede, orginale altertavlen som
en del av prosessen med å modernisere kirkens interør. Nå
- 30 år senere, er det lagt ned hundretusener i å tilbakeføre
kirken til arkitektens intensjon - slik at den fremstår mest mulig
historisk korrekt. Heldigvis var det noen som tok ansvar og lagret vekk
altertavlen. I mange år lå den på loftet på Lillesund
skole, før den for noen år siden ble flyttet til kjelleren
i menighetshuset. Nå er den tilbake på plass igjen, flottere
enn noengang.
I dag, på Alle helgens søndag,
ble den presentert for menigheten og senere for publikum under BACH-konserten
i kveld.

Some weeks ago, we told you about the
changes going on in the central church to prepare it for the 100 year anniversary
in march 2001.
The altar has been
restores to its original design. It was removed in the early 70's,
as part of changes to make the church more "modern". Now - almost 30 years
later, its back - and the church looks more like the architect intended
it to.
Today it was presented to the public, first
in the Sunday service, and later on in the Bach
consert this evening at 6PM.
