 Laksajazz
med blueskonsert på Feøy
Selv
ble jeg nok litt overrasket da Laksajazzen presenterte
Blues på sin første konsert på Føynå fredag.
Men det lokale bandet "Shakeyground blues
band" sto for en glimrende forestilling
som kun hadde en hake ved seg: Den varte litt
for lenge, både som konsert og i forhold til
den tiden som var avsatt til oppholdet på Føynå.
Vi
ankom Feøy med "Røværfjord" 25 minutter
før konserten begynte, og, og visste ikke helt
veien. Den vi valgte tok et kvarters tid, men
brakte oss til målet: Feøy brygge. Der fant
vi at flere av de vi reiste ut sammen med allerede
var på plass. De hadde benyttet en snarvei med
innlagt båtskyss. Dermed gikk de glipp av mye
av Feøyopplevelsen vi som vandret fikk med oss.
Så
varte altså konserten 1 time og 40 minutter,
og sluttet med at frontfiguren informerte om
at: "Nå går båten om 5 minutter".
Det ble nok litt for hektisk, ja.
Med
sine frontfigurer Arnt Ove Kvernanes som glimrende
munnspiller og Helge Veastad som gitarvirtuos
gjorde Shakeyground Blues band en glimrende
figur. Litt mer tilbaketrukket var trommissen
Vidar Støyva og bassisten Ådne Hauge viktige
for at frontfigurene skulle ha kompet og rytmen
på plass.
 Laksajazz with
blues consert on Feøy
The
first Laksajazz presented Blues on scenic Feøy,
just 10 minutes west of Haugesund and northern
Karmøy. Our local and excellent Shakeyground
blues band presented 1 hour and 40 minutes of
rhytmic experiences for a middle aged audience
of app. 50 people. This was the first of two
conserts. I was told that there would be more
people on the next consert.
Those
of us used to Komlejazz, waiting with the Komle-meal
until after the consert, got no Salmon. The
band ended the consert by informing about the
boat leaving in 5 minutes.
Next
time: Present a bit shorter consert - and
an hour more time on beautiful Feøy. And - why
not call the event: Laksablues ( Salmon blues
). I'm sure you may attract a lot more people
as visitors. People get a lot of jazz. Those
preffering differently would

band performed excellently, with their virtuous
gitarist Helge Veastad, colorful Arnt Ove Kvernanes
on harmonica (top performance) and similarly
good backing by Ådne Hauge on Bas guitar and
VIdar Støyva on drums . . .
This
report does not include what I planned: Lots
of pictures from Feøy. There was no time for
shooting them.
