Hurtigrutebesøk I Smedasundet
Grytidlig mandag morgen ankom MS "Nordlys"
Haugesund og Indre kai for å vise seg frem. Båten
er på cruise fra Bergen til Oslo, og nytter muligheten
når de har anløp for cruisedeltakerne til
å holde åpent skip for oss nysgjerrige.
Og de fleste av dem (de nysgjerrige) - var pensjonister
som virkelig hørtes ut til å ha lyst på
en tur. Båten er I største laget for Smedasundet,
men det blir hevdet at den lettet litt på "rumpa"
ved å redusere ballasten før den gikk inn
I sundet. Kl. 13 gikk den videre til Stavanger. For
å komme seg ut igjen, rygget den helt ut til Vibrandsøysund.

Coastal steamer visiting Smedasund
Early this morning the coastal steamer,
one of the "Hurtigrute"-ships, arrived the
Inner quay in Haugesund to show itself to local citizens
- and the town to its passengers beeing on a Bergen
to Oslo-cruise. Among the curious visitors were 99%
senior citizens. They seemed to like what they were
presented. This ship is to big to turn in Smedasund,
and had to back all the way out to Vibrandsøysund
when it left at 1PM for Stavanger. We had on line coverage
by the web cam og the departure. Below this text you
find some of the pictures that were presented. I was
on board, and present to you a few pictures from a fine
boat and a grey and rainy day.
