Nå har vi klaget noen uker på
mangelen på sommervær. Akkurat nå er jeg fristet til
å lengte etter litt svalere forhold, for maken til varme som vi har
nå har vi ikke hatt på lenge. På skyggesiden av huset
vårt sør i byen var det 31 grader klokken 2. På kontoret
ved Smedasundet akkurat nå er det nesten uutholdelig. Svetten drypper
på tastaturet - og flasken med den iskalde brusen er nesten tom.
Utenfor er det en fantastisk sommerdag.
Prøver å variere litt, så
i dag kjørte jeg til Aksnes og til Svinholmen (for å ta bilde
av Asalvikå). I fjor viste badebildene inntrykk fra Kvalsvik, Haraldsvang,
mens Åkrasanden var skildret sommeren 2000.

I lost the lust to take pictures of all
the rain and nonsummerlike days earlier this July. Just now I felt I had
to tell you abour the incredible change. So far this is the warmest day
we can remember. On the shadow side of my house in the southern part of
the town we had 31C at 2PM!! Thats hot for Haugesund. My office is
hopelessly hot, my sweath makes it almost impossible to work - and - my
bottle of ice cold lemonade is almost empty !!
Tried to go new places today to give you
summer impressions. I do it with some bathing place pictures from Asalvik,
all north in the Smedasundet where the strait is called Haugesundet. And
I visited Aksnes by the Førresfjord for the first time with lots
of people sun licking and bathing.
